Viewers come together to support struggling Texas communities

Following a devastating flood in Texas that has resulted in at least 129 confirmed deaths and 170 more reported missing, audiences across Fox’s platforms have rallied together, raising $6.5 million to assist affected communities.

Last week, Fox Corporation made an initial donation to the Kerr County Community Foundation’s Flood Relief Fund, encouraging viewers to contribute directly to the ongoing efforts. The foundation is directing these funds to organizations involved in rescue, recovery, and flood support efforts. Recently, the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund announced it had distributed its first $5 million in emergency grants to nonprofits, aiming to aid individuals, families, local businesses, and first responders.

In recent days, Texas experienced another surge in river flooding, complicating vital search operations stemming from the earlier tragedy.

Fox Corporation has consistently called on its audience to support relief initiatives, expressing gratitude for both the donations made and the hard work of first responders in the community.

President Donald Trump visited Texas on Friday to discuss relief and recovery with Governor Greg Abbott. Tragically, some of the deceased include attendees from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp located near the Guadalupe River.

While the situation is dire, there’s hope as donations continue to pour in. I guess it just goes to show how much people care when disaster strikes. If you’re motivated to help, consider contributing to this essential cause.
