The scenery of Temescal Canyon Canyon Trail is almost overwhelming. The hillside of the lush green hill is naked and blacked by the Parisade fire.
The trail itself is buried in many places after the first rain.
Nevertheless, on the Canyon floor, the first green buds in the spring appear after the fire, so life ignores the odds again.
On Sunday, February 2, we hiked Temescar Canyon in Sunrise. Officially, trails are closed and off limits. It is very dangerous because many cliff routes are reduced to dangerous loose slopes.
Many structures had been destroyed, but the low -trail stretched was intact with confidence. The notorious stop sign of the parking lot was destroyed, but there was still a hidden camera to catch the violation.
Healthy water was flowing in the canyon. The result of the rain for two days last week (this week is expected to be a few days.
There was still a wooden dam that suppresses fragments in the event of a winter flood, but it seemed to be damaged.
When I climbed up the trail or left as it was, my heart sank. There were few survived trees. Hidden waterfalls with a secret cave -only known to a small number -is still there, but the road that leads to it has been completely lost.
Once the dark green gorge walls were flashing orange in the rising sun rising on the coastal fog.
The waterfall at the edge of the canyon is still there, and there is a steel bridge crossing the basin, but the wooden board of the bridge is consumed and the bridge cannot be passed, so there is the top of the trail.
One or two secret waterfalls remained accessible. And there is certainly water, and there is the “sea river” from the Pacific Ocean.
However, the trail is not the same, and it will wait for a long time to resume.
I will leave some green images to you. Some species of the gorge germinate only when there is fire.
And, despite the fire, some people bloom without mercy. Because spring is spring, there is water and sun.
