A former deep-state insider lays out how the government controls the flow of information

America was once a global powerhouse, exporting not only the world’s best manufactured goods but also the world’s best ideas. Now, as the State Department exports some of the world’s worst ideas, once-bustling economic zones have become ghost towns.

In “Zero Hour,” Mike Bentz, a former State Department official in the Trump administration and founder and executive director of the Online Freedom Foundation, James Poulos We discuss the current state of the US State Department and its dystopian information control.

Though many of America’s manufacturing centers are past their prime, America can still be proud to be a beacon of freedom to the world — until now.

“What we had to defend was … the unique value that America has, that we have freedom of speech. [and] “We have the rule of law that can protect you in court and uphold your rights at all times,” Benz told Ploss.

“What we’ve seen instead is an abuse of the sanctions regime, where anyone who does business that upsets the State Department, the Defense Department or the intelligence community is sanctioned,” Benz added.

Benz believes the rise of these reckless sanctions and censorship measures is due to the decline of American influence in the world today.

“We no longer adhere to this concept of free trade because we impose sanctions on any bilateral trade that causes us trouble. The same goes for if someone invests here. Frankly, it’s a bit crazy to put money here under this administration,” he said.

Moreover, these sanctions contribute to China’s growing power. Benz argues that Hungary, along with other countries, is strengthening its ties with China because the West is hostile to its military restraint and traditional values.

“Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee [came] Get out [said] “Hungary should be sanctioned because it does not support the war with Russia, its military support for Ukraine, and the LGBT policies pursued by the State Department,” Benz said.
