Hulk Hogan Passes Away at 71

Hulk Hogan, the wrestling legend, has died at the age of 71. His former close friend, Bubba the Love Sponge, has been vocal about Hogan’s declining health for some time.

Last month, Bubba stated that he was the only one accurately discussing Hogan’s health issues. “I can’t deny what I’ve said or what I’ve predicted,” he mentioned during a recent radio show. He expressed a desire for circumstances to prove him wrong, saying, “No, I want God to be right.”

Their relationship had its complexities, notably due to an incident involving a leaked sex tape in 2012, which led to a significant privacy lawsuit where Hogan received $115 million from Gawker.

Bubba conveyed frustration that his warnings about Hogan’s health had been disregarded by those close to the wrestler. “I don’t know if it’s a big deal to tell my truth, but it seems to matter to people like his wife,” he remarked, adding that those who doubt his perspective should reconsider. “For 15 years, this guy was one of my best friends,” he reflected.

A statement posted on Hogan’s Instagram confirmed his passing: “It’s with heart and deep sadness to confirm that we’ve lost the legend. Our beloved Terry Borea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones.” The post encouraged respect for the family’s privacy during this difficult time.

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Borea, began his wrestling career in the late 1970s with Championship Wrestling from Florida before joining the World Wrestling Federation in 1979, becoming a major draw for the company.

A six-time WWE champion, Hogan is also a two-time inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, gaining recognition for both his individual accomplishments and as a member of the NWO. His impact on wrestling has lasted over four decades, leaving countless fans with cherished memories.
