“This is completely outrageous and an insult to the intelligence of the American people,” a handcuffed Luigi Mangione shouted at reporters as he was led into a Pennsylvania courthouse on Tuesday.
He had been taken to court for an extradition hearing.
OK Magazine reported“It appears something triggered Mangione.”
Then he screamed and said, “That's totally unfair'' or “that's totally out of line.''
Mangione went on to argue that this is “an insult to the intelligence of the American people.” It's a lived experience! ”
As he screamed, he appeared to step aside and offer resistance to the officers, but they quickly turned him around and forced him into the courthouse door.
Earlier Tuesday, Breitbart News pointed to various reports claiming Mangione was suffering from “debilitating pain” in his back.
of new york times reported Back surgery and People magazine reported RJ Martin, one of Mangione's acquaintances, said he met Mangione in 2022 and realized his pain was so severe that he needed to “change his mattress” to relieve the pain.
When Mangione was taken into custody in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on Monday, he allegedly had a handwritten letter in his possession that read, “I was expecting these parasites.”
Additionally, Mangione allegedly wrote, “I apologize for the traumatic conflict, but it needed to happen.”
Mangione is charged with murder in connection with the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4, 2024. His lawyers are fighting to have him extradited to New York for trial.
