A.J. Brown out of Eagles playoff game vs. Buccaneers in injury blow

The Eagles will be without their primary receiver for the first round playoff game against the Buccaneers.

AJ Brown will miss Monday night's game due to a knee sprain suffered in Week 18 against the Giants in Philadelphia (ESPN) Adam Schefter reports.

According to the paper, Brown could return if the Eagles advance to the divisional round.

The news comes a day after Brown deleted his X account and removed references to the Eagles from his Instagram page.

Brown, 26, caught 106 balls for 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season.

The Eagles traded Brown and a first-round pick and a third-round pick to the Titans during the 2022 offseason, immediately signing the wide receiver to a four-year contract worth $100 million.

Earlier this month, Brown was accused of being a “locker room poison” in a Philadelphia Inquirer report that called the story “Bulls.”

“At this point, I don't care. They're going to create all kinds of stories that I'm dividing the locker room and this whole thing,” Brown told reporters.

“That's a bull.'' To be honest, I'm a little happy, but what is his name? What is that reporter's name?marcus [Hayes].

“I’m kind of glad he’s not here because I wanted to know who was saying that and I was going to ask him. I was going to ask him because I know my teammates are riding for me and I’m riding for them.”

The Eagles enter the playoffs with injuries.

The team lost five of its last six games, with both sides of the ball in disarray.

Nevertheless, despite the losing streak and Brown's injury, the Eagles have a field goal advantage Monday night in Tampa.
