‘A lot of rage texting’

Brittany Cartwright insists her ex Jax Taylor hasn't changed “at all” since he went to rehab.

Taylor, 45, struggled with her mental health during her separation from Cartwright and entered an inpatient treatment center at the end of July. He was discharged from a mental health facility after 30 days of treatment.

But Ms Cartwright, 35, remains unconvinced that any progress has been made with her ex-husband.

“I don't feel like he's changed at all in those 30 days, and I'm sure the reason for that will be covered on the show, but you know the whole time he was in rehab, there were a lot of angry emails and stuff like that. It was still going on,” she said on Bravo. Podcast “Hot Mic” Monday.

“So, for me, I realized that this is going to continue,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum said of her ex-boyfriend's actions.

“Like, you're in therapy seven hours a day and you still find the time to badmouth me and call me names? And send me angry texts? Then… It is clear that you will never change.”

The reality TV star, who shares 3-year-old son Cruise with Taylor, said she had no regrets about ending their marriage.

“I'm really happy, but I haven't changed my mind. I'm very happy with the decision,” she said, adding that that's when she realized: “This is wrong and I can't keep going like this.” It was quite an eye-opener. ”

Taylor and Cartwright married in June 2019, and their wedding was featured on “Vanderpump Rules.”

In December 2020, they announced that they would be leaving the popular Bravo series.

The former couple welcomed Cruise a few months later in April 2021.

In February, Cartwright announced on her podcast that she had decided to take some time “away” to focus on herself. Cartwright officially filed for divorce from the “Valley” star on Aug. 27 after four years of marriage.

Days after filing for divorce, Taylor announced that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder while in rehab.

Taylor admitted that she entered the facility to help her son, Cruz, “cure his illness.”

Earlier this year, Taylor spoke out about her “difficult” divorce from Cartwright, saying she knew it was the “right decision.”

“I understand why she did it.” [it]” he said of Cartwright’s application. “I will always love and care for Brittany. She is the mother of my beautiful son, [Cruz]”

He also said he hopes the two can become “really, really good friends one day.”
