A Packers fan seemed really distressed during Green Bay’s disappointing loss to the Atlanta Falcons in their home opener on Thursday night. At one point, she even checked her pulse as the team fell behind by 20 points in the fourth quarter.
Prime Video cameras caught her looking quite worried, with her hands covering her face before she took her pulse and let out a sigh while seated in the stands at Lambeau Field.
Amid the tough loss, fans booed, and the Packers ended up with a record of 1-2. After the game, tight end Tucker Kraft expressed disappointment over the boos from the home crowd, noting that it didn’t really motivate the team to perform better.
“That’s pretty tough. Everyone pictures Lambeau Field as a place full of support, not boos,” Kraft remarked. “It’s disappointing, especially for a home opener.”
He added, “It’s not going to help us win. I mean, I don’t know what people expect — that it’s going to rally us or something. But we’re grown men. We’re tough enough to get back out there and play. Still, it’d certainly be easier with 70,000 cheering us on instead of against us.”
The Packers’ struggles were visible — a lackluster running game (just nine carries for 17 yards), protection issues, dropped passes, and missed throws all played a part in the team’s nightmare performance. Meanwhile, Falcons running back Bijan Robinson had an impressive game, marking his third career outing with over 200 scrimmage yards.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur did not hold back, calling the loss a “butt-whoopin’,” and acknowledged it was the largest home defeat he’s faced. This marked the first time he’s found his team at 1-2 as a head coach.
The Packers managed to secure their only win in Week 2 against the Jets, largely due to some questionable choices made by New York. They clinched that game 20-17 in overtime at MetLife Stadium.
Next up, the Packers will face the Buccaneers, who are still searching for their first win, in Tampa on October 4.
