Michigan Restaurant Pulls Controversial Menu Items

The Brown Jug, a longstanding eatery in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has recently introduced menu items named after former Michigan football coach Sherone Moore and his alleged mistress, Paige Shiver. However, these items have not been available for long.

This iconic establishment has been serving up traditional college food since 1936. Among its distinctive offerings were “Sherone Moore’s Sampler Basket” and “Paige Shiver’s Cauliflower Gluten-Free 12-Inch Pizza.”

According to insiders at The Brown Jug, the menu is in the process of being updated to remove these names.

Sherone Moore’s sampler basket, priced at $13, features a mix of jalapeño poppers, chicken tenders, onion rings, fried cheese sticks, and comes with two dipping sauces.

A server who took the order for the “Sherone Moore” item commented, “I have a feeling that’s going to change soon,” hinting at the potential for a swift rebranding.

Paige Shiver’s pizza, costing $12, stands out as one of the few menu items not linked to an athlete or coach, a curious fact considering its context. Shiver, 32, was recently given a promotion to executive assistant to Moore within Michigan’s athletic department.

Among the other notable menu items are Tom Brady’s Corned Beef Reuben, Michael Phelps’ Vegan Beyond Burger, and Jim Harbaugh’s 10-ounce Sirloin Steak, each paying tribute to prominent figures in Michigan’s sports history.

Following revelations of Shiver’s affair with Moore, it’s understood that her pizza’s name will also be changed. Moore was dismissed from his coaching position after officials at Michigan State became aware of the situation.

In a related incident, prosecutors reported that a 39-year-old man broke into Shiver’s apartment and threatened self-harm with a butter knife. He has since been arraigned and faces charges of burglary, criminal trespassing, and stalking.
