Aaron Judge bests Ralph Kiner and Babe Ruth

Juan Soto was outstanding. Chicago White Sox Interim manager Grady Sizemore intentionally walked Soto on Wednesday night, opting to bring Aaron Judge to bat with two runners on base in a 6-2 game.

Judge quickly hit a home run that changed the course of the game and earned his place in MLB history.

Chad Kuhl’s first three pitches were all outside the zone, but Judge got hold of a high inside sinker and blasted it to Chicago’s left field reliever for his 300th career home run, making him the fastest player in MLB history to reach that milestone.

Judge accomplished the feat in his 955th game and 3,431st at-bat. Breaking the previous record Records set by Ralph Kiner and Babe Ruth. Kiner hit his 300th home run in his 1,087th game, while Ruth reached the milestone in his 3,831st at-bat.

Judge acknowledged after the game that the walk to Soto, who hit three home runs on Wednesday night and another on Thursday, was motivational. “I was pissed off about the intentional walk, so that was motivation for me,” Judge said. He spoke after the match“Usually when it’s 3-0 you take the pitch, watch the pitch and pass it to the next guy. But in that situation, if they don’t want to pitch to you, you’ve got to get it done.”

Judge also acknowledged that the hit puts him in the impressive company of baseball legends Kiner and Ruth. “Those are two guys who accomplished a lot of great things in this sport,” Judge said. said“When you mention a bunch of those names to people who don’t know baseball, they know who it is. It’s a special group.”
