Yankees’ Judge Hits Home Runs After Meeting Trump
Judge Aaron made waves after a chance meeting with President Trump in the Yankees clubhouse ahead of their game against the Tigers on Thursday.
In a thrilling display, the Yankees star belted his 45th home run, sending the ball soaring 413 feet to left field, giving New York an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
But that was just the beginning. By the end of three innings, Judge had launched a second home run, marking his 361st career dinger with the Yankees, pushing him to fourth on the franchise’s all-time list.
This impressive feat came shortly after the judge shared a moment with Trump, who was visiting the Bronx to commemorate the 24th anniversary of the September 11th attacks. During his time in the clubhouse, Trump greeted players, including Judge, with friendly banter.
“I’m happy to meet you,” Judge told the President.
Trump complimented Judge on his powerful build, saying, “With that much muscle, you have to hit the ball perfectly. You are a great player. An incredible player.”
Before leaving the locker room, Trump addressed the team, expressing confidence in their chances for the playoffs and cheering them on with, “We’ll start tonight, and I think you’ll do well.”
During the game, Trump watched from a luxury suite alongside Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner and team president Randy Levine. The YES Network caught his reactions, including moments of remembrance for the victims of 9/11.
Though the Tigers tied the game at one in the second inning, the Yankees quickly regained the lead, with Ben Rice and Jose Caballero contributing to a 3-1 score before Judge added another run in the next inning.
