Aaron Judge and wife Samantha Blacksick enjoyed an all-star date night on Tuesday.
The pair appeared on the red carpet at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, after the Yankees captain and superstar teammate Juan Soto helped the American League win 5-3 over the National League in the 2024 MLB All-Star Game.
The 32-year-old judge, dressed in a gray jacket, black button-up shirt and black slacks, smiled next to his wife of two years, who looked chic in a white suit jacket, white trousers and a matching clutch bag.
Judge, a six-time All-Star, and Soto, 25, were inseparable on the field Tuesday. Soto, the former Padres outfielder who was traded to the Yankees in December 2023, made his first start in the annual contest.
“it is [life]When I got the chance to go [to the All-Star Game] “I’ll be playing with one of the best players in the league for the first time,” Soto said.
The Yankees have struggled recently, going 8-18 in the month before the break, but Judge and Soto looked strong on Tuesday.
The Yankees are 58-40 and two games behind the Orioles for first place in the AL East.
As the Yankees prepare for a crucial second half of the season, Judge’s high school sweetheart, Black Sheik, will surely be cheering them on as the team tries to win its first World Series since 2009.
Blacksick has been with Judge on his Yankees journey over the years and helped navigate negotiations before the 2022 AL MVP agreed to a nine-year, $360 million contract with the team in December.
“I was in California, Sam and I were heading to Hawaii to celebrate our wedding anniversary. [wedding] It was our anniversary. We had an 8 a.m. flight, so we were up at 2, 3 a.m. … going back and forth about different offers from different teams. What do you want to do? And I told her, ‘I want to stay in New York. I don’t want to go anywhere else.'” The judge recalled on the “Casa De Klub” podcast earlier this month.
“The conversation with New York never really went anywhere. She said, ‘Call me. [team owner] Spring [Steinbrenner]”Just call him and tell him how you feel. Tell him what you think.”
Judge followed Blacksick’s advice and said, [Steinbrenner] “Message,” Steinbrenner told him to make a phone call.
“So I called him and I just said, ‘Hey, I don’t want to go anywhere. If you can give me another year on my contract, I want to stay here. That’s enough. I’m not asking for any more. I just want one more year. I want to play this game for a long time,'” Judge said.
Judge re-signed with the Yankees around the one-year anniversary of his and Blacksheik’s wedding.
The two got married in Hawaii in December 2021.
