Aaron Rodgers' hiatus from The Pat McAfee Show didn't last long.
The Jets quarterback returned to the show Thursday, less than 24 hours after McAfee said it was Rodgers' final appearance on the show this season.
“Out of the Woods,” Rodgers began talking to McAfee about Bill Belichick's departure from the Patriots.
This is consistent with McAfee's tweet on Wednesday night, in which he said he hoped Rogers would continue to discuss “big events.”
After Sunday's final game of the season between the Jets and Patriots, Rodgers shared a moment with Belichick.
Rodgers praised Belichick's “love for the game” and the respect the coach has always shown him.
Rodgers' segment was brief as he discussed Belichick and Nick Saban, who retired on Wednesday, and then said goodbye.
McAfee said on Wednesday's show that he was relieved the Rodgers show was over for now, given the intense scrutiny he put on hosts.
Rodgers has long used the show to explain his controversial views on the coronavirus, but the late-night ABC host may be on Jeffrey Epstein's list of associates. The pressure intensified last week after he hinted that they had sex, sparking a feud with Jimmy Kimmel. .
McAfee later tweeted that Rodgers' exit from the show was pre-planned and that he hoped to return next season.
“Our fans know ART. [Rodgers’ segment] Ends right after Aaron’s team’s season ends…that’s the way it is,” McAfee wrote.
“During big events and off-season adventures, he welcomes random surprises and pops in, but it's always a seasonal thing. I would never say he'll never be on the show again.” We hope he still chooses to chat with us in the future.”
McAfee didn't even have to wait that long.
