Aaron Rodgers delivers passionate rant at Steelers' sideline during intense 'TNF' moment

Aaron Rodgers Reacts Strongly During Steelers-Browns Game

Aaron Rodgers didn’t hold back during the Steelers’ game against the Browns on “Thursday Night Football.”

In the first quarter of Pittsburgh’s Week 4 game, the 42-year-old Rodgers was captured on camera visibly upset, shouting at the Steelers’ sideline just before a play.

It seemed there was some confusion regarding play calls, as the quarterback was heard on the Amazon Prime Video broadcast exclaiming, “What the f–k. Call it,” directing his frustration at the bench.

The broadcast then shifted to Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy, who appeared to respond to Rodgers through his headset, although the specifics of their conversation were not clear.

Not long after, Rodgers was seen glancing at the Steelers’ bench and muttering “f–k” when McCarthy signaled for another play.

Rodgers, a 10-time Pro Bowler, has a long history with McCarthy, having played under him for most of his time with the Packers. It seems, however, there are some early-season communication issues between them now that McCarthy is coaching the Steelers.

Following Pittsburgh’s 20-3 loss to the Patriots in Week 2, Rodgers hinted at his frustration with McCarthy’s approach.

“In a game like today, where there wasn’t a lot of flow to it, we need to be better, and it starts with me,” Rodgers remarked. “I need to make sure that Mike knows what’s working and what’s not, so we can call plays that give us a better chance.”

Despite this, McCarthy mentioned earlier in the season that their communication had been positive since he joined the Steelers.

“Just like they always are, life, football, what’s going on at the facility,” McCarthy said about his talks with Rodgers this offseason. “He’s really engaged with what’s happening. I would just say he’s in a very positive space. We’ll just continue to engage in conversations.”
