Observations from Jets training camp on Tuesday.
JJ is amazing!
Defensive end Jermaine Johnson had a good day today. Coming off a breakout sophomore season, Johnson nearly sacked Aaron Rodgers and beat receiver Xavier Gipson for a loss on a jet sweep. He was aggressive throughout practice.
Get a firm grip
Rookie running back Isaiah Davis fumbled on a botched handoff with backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, but the offense recovered the loose ball.
It caught my eye
Special teams receiver Irv Charles caught two touchdown passes from Taylor, including a bomb pass through double coverage that Charles deflected off himself.
The Rogers Report
It was one of Rodgers’ best practices of training camp. After a slow start in which he missed four of his first five passes, he completed 20 of 30 passes and threw three touchdown passes, two of which were to wide receiver Garrett Wilson. He closed out the afternoon with a touchdown pass to running back Breece Hall down the left sideline. Rodgers also showed signs of using his legs to extend drives when no one was open.

Injury Report
Head coach Robert Saleh announced that tight end Jeremy Ruckert has a concussion, and OT Tyron Smith did not practice with the team but did take part in individual drills.
