“One of the things we've talked about is giving our defense a two-goal lead,” Saleh told reporters with a smile.
“We were up by two and I think he wanted to show us something defensively. He reminded me that we were up by two.”
Rodgers' point seemed to fit, telling the media that he wanted to emphasize to Saleh that they accomplished what they set out to do in the Jets' long-awaited home opener.

“Oh, was it awkward? No, it wasn't awkward at all,” Rogers said, laughing about the exchange.
“He doesn't usually hug a lot, so I didn't know he was going to hug me. He also likes having his hands pressed against his chest. But he talks a lot about being up by two runs, so I gave him a little push and said, 'Up by two runs,' and that's what happened.”
The Jets performed well against their AFC East rivals in a short week.

After defeating Tennessee Titans The Jets returned to New York for Sunday's road trip, and all eyes were on Rodgers, who will be playing his first game at MetLife Stadium since suffering a season-ending Achilles injury just four plays into his debut last season.
The 40-year-old Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and touchdown passes to Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard in the Jets' victory. Patriots The 24-3 win snapped an eight-game home losing streak against New England.
The Jets will have a short break as they prepare to host the Denver Broncos on Sept. 29.
