Aaron Rodgers, now a newlywed, faced significant criticism during his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday. Some commentators described his approach to sharing details about his personal life as “F. Key King Redaika.”
He added, “But, frankly, the attention around my personal life feels absurd and embarrassing.”
His relationship has been a topic of discussion since he announced his marriage a few months prior. This became particularly newsworthy when he sported a black wedding band on his left hand after signing a one-year contract with the Steelers worth $13.65 million.
Previously, as of December 2024, he was involved with a woman named Brittany.
Rodgers, whose past relationships have included notable names like Shailene Woodley and Olivia Munn, mentioned that his partner wishes to stay out of the limelight. “Once this season wraps up, I’ll be gone. You won’t see me. I know I’ve chosen to stay in the spotlight for one more season, but my personal life is private,” he shared. He hinted that this season with the Steelers could be his final one in the NFL.
Since participating in a mini-camp in Pittsburgh earlier this month, he returned to Southern California, enjoying some beach time. Yet, his outings are often without significant company.
The Steelers are scheduled to report for training camp in July as they prepare for Rodgers’ inaugural season with the team.
The season opener will see them face off against his former team, the Jets, on September 7th.
Rodgers’ previous season with the Jets was marred by an Achilles injury sustained in the first week of 2023. However, he managed to play all 17 games last year, throwing for 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Before joining the Steelers, he spent 18 years with the Packers.
