Aaron Rodgers' family uncertain about whether the quarterback really got married unexpectedly

Those close to Aaron Rodgers appear to have doubts about the legitimacy of his marriage.

A recent article by the Daily Mail suggests that some insiders believe “families don’t consider [the marriage] to be authentic.” The new quarterback for the Steelers mentioned that he may have made a “symbolic ‘commitment'” rather than entering into a legally binding marriage.

This news follows Rogers’ surprising announcement last week that he had been married for “a few months.”

The 41-year-old former Jets quarterback stirred curiosity about his personal life earlier in June when he was spotted wearing a black band during a signing event with the Steelers.

In December 2024, he had disclosed a relationship with a woman named Brittany.

Rogers noted that he is unfamiliar with other couples like Jordan and JoJo, who didn’t attend his wedding, and he doesn’t know much about Brittany either. They had gained attention after appearing on the reality show The Bachelorette in 2016 and later marrying in 2022.

Sources indicate that his family’s knowledge of Brittany has primarily come through indirect communication from his parents, Ed and Darla Rodgers.

Rogers is known for having tense relationships with his family, and it seems his loved ones were caught off guard by the news of his marriage.

As of Monday, the Daily Mail reported that public records do not provide any evidence of a legal marriage, mentioning that there are rumors involving officials in Pennsylvania and Las Vegas.

The Super Bowl champion has spoken about his past relationships, which have been a topic of interest.

Rodgers has had notable romances, including a two-year relationship with NASCAR star Danica Patrick and an engagement with actress Shailene Woodley.

Recently, Patrick made unexpected claims about their relationship while discussing their breakup during a May appearance on The Sage Steel Show. She commented, “It felt like my life. So when you live with someone, it’s your whole life… And because the nature of the relationship was emotionally abusive, it was wearing me down.”

A representative for Rodgers has not yet responded to requests for comments regarding Patrick’s remarks.

Looking ahead, Rodgers is set to make his debut with the Steelers against his former Jets team on September 7th.
