Aaron Rodgers, now a newlywed, was seen enjoying some time alone at Malibu Sunshine on Wednesday. It’s been less than two weeks since he announced his marriage to an unnamed woman.
The new quarterback for the Steelers, wearing a white tank top and light blue shorts, strolled along the beach, his bride notably absent from sight.
Interest in Rodgers’ personal life surged earlier this month when he was spotted with a black band on his finger, shortly after signing a one-year contract worth $13.65 million with Pittsburgh.
Just a few days later, he revealed that he had stepped away from a two-year stint with the Jets and shared with reporters at Steelers practice that he had been married “for a few months.”
The 41-year-old, who won a Super Bowl, was previously dating a woman named Britanni as of December 2024.
This news of his marriage has raised questions about its legitimacy. Insiders mentioned to a source that, “It seems plausible that the family isn’t aware of a legal marriage, and it’s possible they had a symbolic ceremony instead.”
Some of Rodgers’ relatives, known for having a distant relationship with him, appear to know little about Britanni. One relative indicated, “Jordan and JoJo didn’t attend the wedding and don’t really know anything about Brittani.” This was reportedly shared with *The Daily Mail* by Rodgers’ younger brother Jordan and his wife, former “Bachelorette” star JoJo Fletcher.
What they know about Britanni is mostly through their parents, Ed and Darla.
Rodgers had kept his relationship with Britanni largely private. Previously, he was engaged to actress Shailene Woodley, but they ended their relationship in 2022. Before that, he dated NASCAR star Danica Patrick for two years.
Patrick, in a recent interview, discussed her past relationship with Rodgers, describing it as “emotionally abusive” and stating that it contributed to her struggles with self-image. She remarked that it ultimately taught her the importance of self-care.
Rodgers’ representative did not respond immediately to comments made by Patrick.
Looking ahead, the Steelers will begin training camp in late July, with their season opener on the road against Rodgers’ former Jets team on September 7. Last season, despite missing most of it due to an Achilles injury, he managed to throw for 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
