Aaron Rodgers ran onto the field at MetLife Stadium to thunderous applause and excitement in his first home game since his season-ending injury on the first drive of the 2023 season.
Thursday night's game marked the first time Jets fans got to see Rodgers play at home since he ruptured his Achilles tendon in a game against the Bills on Sept. 11, 2023, ending his first year with Gang Green as quickly as it began.
Rodgers survived the first offensive drive of the “Thursday Night Football” game against the Patriots, but the Jets ended up having to punt the ball.
Rodgers completed all four passes for 31 yards but was sacked once for a loss of six yards.
On the opening drive, Rodgers ran for five yards for a first down, marking the first time he has rushed for a first down since the 2022 season.
The match will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday night.
Things went even better for Rodgers and the Jets on the team's second drive, when he completed an eight-play, 73-yard drive that ended with a 10-yard TD pass to Allen Lazard, his first touchdown pass as a Jet at MetLife Stadium.

The touchdown came with just over four minutes left in the first quarter.
