Is Aaron Rodgers Starting a New Chapter with the Steelers?

Rumors about Aaron Rodgers and his relationship status are buzzing again. Recently, the MVP-winning quarterback was seen wearing a black band on his left ring finger, sparking speculation about marriage after he signed a contract worth $13.65 million.

The 41-year-old wrapped up his time in free agency with Pittsburgh last Thursday. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time folks have speculated about his marital status; earlier this spring, he caught attention when he wore similar accessories at the Kentucky Derby festival in May.

Those close to Rodgers, including former Packers teammate A.J. Hawk, were reportedly “not updated” about the situation. “It’s surprising, honestly. No one seems to know what’s going on,” Hawk mentioned on the Pat McCaffrey Show last month.

The ring showed up months after Rodgers revealed he was in a relationship with a woman named Britanni back in December 2024.

Prior to this, he was engaged to actress Shailene Woodley, but they ended their relationship in 2022. Rodgers also dated former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick for about two years. The split was reportedly mutual, with both saying, “We’re not the same anymore.” In a recent interview, Patrick described their past relationship as “emotionally abusive,” claiming it took a toll on her.

As for Rodgers, his representative has not commented on Patrick’s claims. The four-time league MVP is now beginning a fresh chapter with the Steelers after two seasons with the Jets. Despite struggling with an Achilles injury in his first season with the Jets, he played in every game last season, throwing for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

Rodgers had delayed his free agency decision due to personal matters, sharing that someone close to him is battling cancer. Meanwhile, the Steelers had previously shown interest in adding a quarterback this offseason, with others like Justin Fields and Russell Wilson moving to different teams. Fields signed a two-year deal with the Jets, while Wilson joined the Giants for one year.

Pittsburgh wrapped up the last season with a 10-7 record and made it to the playoffs, though they were eliminated by the Ravens in the wildcard round. The Steelers will be facing the Jets at MetLife Stadium on September 7th, where Rodgers will return to face his former team.
