Aaron Rodgers seems to be making strides in mending his family relationships.
In a recent Instagram post, he shared several pictures with his family, including his mother, father, and one brother. The post was captioned, “Another week of deepening bonds.”
Rodgers’ connection with his family has often been scrutinized, and it’s been a delicate topic for him.
It looks like things are improving, though, as these photos show him smiling with his mother Darla, father Ed, and brother Luke.
Interestingly, his younger brother Jordan was noticeably absent from these family photos.
One snapshot features Darla with her arm around Rodgers, both of them happily grinning. There’s also a photo of him alongside Ed, and another where he’s helping Luke put together some toys, likely for his kids.
This estrangement has been ongoing since 2016, particularly after Jordan appeared on “The Bachelorette,” where he met his future wife, JoJo Fletcher.
It’s hard to say when the peace offerings between Rodgers and his family began, but these images suggest they’re in a much healthier spot than before.
Jordan’s absence, however, might indicate that there’s still some unresolved tension between the two brothers.
Last summer, it was reported that Jordan wasn’t invited to Rodgers’ wedding to Brittani, and there has been little public interaction between the two siblings since. Rodgers, too, didn’t attend Jordan and Fletcher’s wedding in 2022, even though he was invited.
Rodgers has previously discussed his strained relationship with Jordan and the fallout from his brother’s time on the reality show.
He also touched on this in his Netflix documentary “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma.”
“I wasn’t very close to my family,” he reflected. “It really took me back to high school days, college, and everything that followed.”
Rodgers criticized how the media portrayed their family rifts, stating, “What do they do? They go on a show and leave two empty chairs. They thought it was a good idea—leaving those chairs on the show my brother became famous for. But I was never invited to dinner; it wasn’t that I skipped out.”
