Documentary Unveils Abortion Industry Secrets

Abby Johnson, a former director at a family planning clinic, has aimed to shed light on what she calls the “dirtiest secrets” of the abortion industry through her new documentary, “Unthinkable.” She asserts that this film could emerge as the most significant expose of the abortion industry ever.

Johnson, who also authored “Unplanned,” expressed her aspirations for the documentary in a statement to FOX News Digital. “I hope this shakes the foundations of the anti-abortion movement and, honestly, the pro-life movement,” she remarked, adding that sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of the core reasons for the fight.

On September 26, 2009, Johnson’s perspective shifted dramatically when she assisted with an ultrasound-guided abortion, catalyzing her departure from Planned Parenthood. In 2012, she established a nonprofit, And Then There Were None, which aims to provide support to abortion industry workers, delivering resources such as financial and legal assistance, counseling, and job placement services.

Slated for release in June, the documentary shares the personal stories of around 30 former abortion clinic staffers. It dives into their experiences with behind-the-scenes practices and the emotional burden they carried, as described in its YouTube trailer. Johnson mentioned the challenge of condensing these narratives into just 90 minutes, thus necessitating significant edits.

Johnson expressed that the documentary will serve as a reminder of the true cost of abortion. She believes that insights from individuals with firsthand experience—those who once worked in the industry—can help the public grasp the gravity of abortion and the urgent need to regulate, or rather end it altogether. “No one understands this better than former abortion workers,” she said.
