The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures has finally agreed to revise an anti-Semitic exhibit attacking Hollywood’s legendary (and Jewish) founders. The exhibit now uses words like “spartan,” “nepotistic,” “toxic,” “womanizer,” “oppressive,” “disrespectful,” “tyrant,” “cynical,” “white supremacist,” and “predator” to describe the men who changed the world forever.
This attack came three years after the bigots who run the Oscars completely ignored the giants of Hollywood, the people who create Hollywood and the art of cinema, and focused on woke nonsense that nobody cares about, and honestly, not even woke people. this:
The exhibit includes works by Oscar Micheaux (1884-1951), a pioneer of black cinema in the early 20th century who made powerful films for black audiences; Asian martial arts legend Bruce Lee; Latina director Patricia Cardoso, whose inspiring 2002 film Real Women Have Curves portrayed Latina women in East Los Angeles; and Spike Lee, a black filmmaker whose films have provided brilliant social commentary for three decades.
As I pointed out last week, a Hollywood museum that completely ignores Adolph Zukor, William Fox, Carl Laemmle, Harry Cohn, Samuel Goldwyn, Louis B. Mayer, Jesse Lasky, and Jack and Harry Warner is like a museum devoted to the history of flight that ignores Orville and Wilbur Wright, or a museum devoted to the lightbulb that ignores Thomas Edison.

It was a stupid idea, but instead of doing the right thing, the broken, ugly, bigoted people who run the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences threw a tantrum in the form of an exposition that ignored the incredible achievements of these giants and focused primarily on their supposed real sins.

So, as I pointed out last week, the Academy Museum had now become “a civil rights museum with exhibits focused exclusively on Martin Luther King’s sexual infidelity, Ghandi’s racism, and John F. Kennedy’s prostitution.”
according to wrapBut that may finally be changing, because “300 prominent Jews in Hollywood” have signed a letter of complaint.
“We urge the Academy Museum to thoroughly redo this exhibit and honor Hollywood’s Jewish founders with the same respect and enthusiasm that is celebrated in the rest of the museum,” reads the letter from the Union of Jewish Writers, signed by actor David Schwimmer, showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino and business leader Casey Wasserman, referring to “Hollywoodland,” which opened in mid-May.
If they had the courage, they would call for the entire Academy Board to resign immediately.
The Jew-Hating Academy subsequently released the following statement:
Members of the Jewish community have raised concerns about parts of our exhibit, “Hollywoodland: Jewish Founders and the Rise of a Movie Capital.” We take these concerns seriously and are committed to making changes to the exhibit to address them. The first set of changes will be implemented immediately, allowing us to tell these important stories without using language that may unintentionally reinforce stereotypes. They will also help remove ambiguity.
In addition to these updates, we are convening an advisory group of leading museum experts who focus on Jewish community, civil rights, and the history of other marginalized groups to advise us on complex questions of context and necessary additions to the exhibition narrative. We are committed to telling these important stories in an honest, respectful, and impactful way.
And notice how the Academy named only white Jewish men as suspects of wrongdoing, as if women and gays never misbehaved in Hollywood. Can we really believe that Mary Pickford got where she is (part-owner of a studio) without some financial machinations? What about gays like Rock Hudson, Montgomery Clift, George Cukor, and Greta Garbo?
Limiting this “special” treatment to white Jewish men is a blatant act of bigotry.
Hollywood handed over the motion picture academy (the Oscars) and its entire history to left-wing fanatics who despise the industry, and got what they deserved.
