Ace Frehley’s Cause of Death Confirmed
The late Ace Frehley, a founding member of the band Kiss, has had his cause of death officially reported. According to the Morris County Coroner’s Office, Frehley died from blunt force trauma to the head due to a fall. He was 74 years old at the time of his passing.
The incident occurred on October 16, and it was classified as an accident. His family shared that he had been injured in a fall weeks earlier and had to cancel all his shows for 2025.
In a heartfelt statement released after his death, Frehley’s family expressed their devastation. “We were so fortunate to surround him with loving words and thoughts,” they noted, reflecting on the end of his life. They also said, “We will cherish his laughter and remember his kindness. The impact of his passing is profound. Ace’s memory will forever live on through all his incredible achievements.”
Kiss, known for hits like “Rock ‘n’ Roll All Night” and “I Was Made for Lovin’ You,” gained fame not only for their music but also for their extravagant performances featuring fire and theatrics, with members dressed in striking costumes and makeup.
The original lineup of Kiss included Frehley along with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss. Frehley’s passing marks the first among the band’s founding members.
Kiss reached the height of their popularity in the mid-1970s, selling millions of albums and becoming a phenomenon with their distinct style. Their song “Beth” peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1976, becoming one of their major hits.
