Responding to Israel’s successful rescue of four hostages from Hamas terrorists, Australian actor Guy Pearce has said that all of the hostages taken on October 7 last year could have been rescued “months ago”.
He further suggested that the IDF was reserving moves to rescue them, “but we know their true motives.”
of Memento Starr did not provide any evidence to support his claims.
Pierce made the accusation in a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), where he said, “We are happy the hostages are home, but we must not get distracted and forget about the needless deaths of Palestinians. The IDF could have brought all the hostages home months ago and avoided the senseless killing of innocent Palestinian children. But we know their true motives.”
We are happy that the hostages have returned home, but let’s not get distracted and forget about the unnecessary deaths of Palestinians. We know that the IDF could have brought all the hostages home months ago and avoided the senseless killing of innocent Palestinian children.

As reported by Breitbart News, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Israel Police and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) rescued the four hostages – Noah Al-Ghamani, 25, Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andrei Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 40 – in a daring raid on Saturday.
The hostages were rescued from two Hamas buildings at ground level.
Pierce’s comments about Saturday’s events in Israel are not the first time he has spoken out about the conflict.
Last month, as he waited for Israeli forces to free hostages from Hamas terrorists, he declared, “Shame on Netanyahu,” as he denounced the Palestinian death toll. He again used the X to make his point.
Palestinians are being killed, displaced, traumatized and devastated every moment.
The lives and futures of Palestinian children are being destroyed by a vengeful tyrant. We have to stop him.
This absolutely must be stopped.
Shame on you, Netanyahu.#ceasefire #FreePalestine 🇵🇸
