Actor John Cusack Responds to Charlie Kirk's Assassination by Continuing to Promote Hate: 'A Fascist'

Actor John Cusack reacted to the shocking and tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA. He continued his controversial rhetoric, labeling Kirk, who was just 31 and a husband and father, as a “fascist.”

“He was a demagogue and a fascist,” Cusack stated. He shared this on Bluesky, a social media platform that leans left.

According to reports, the suspected assailant, Tyler Robinson, was Kirk’s transgender roommate and partner.

Utah County District Attorney Jeff Gray aired the complete message during a live broadcast.

In several conservative circles, Kirk has been inaccurately labeled as “fascist,” a term that some believe fuels hatred and violence, ultimately culminating in his murder — which many perceive as a politically motivated attack by individuals who seem to reject dialogue.

In the aftermath of Kirk’s assassination, various individuals have escalated their negative rhetoric against him, even celebrating his death, as if it were justified.

This incident has prompted many to reflect on the troubling state of society, showcasing moments where decency appears to be in decline.

Despite the gravity of the situation, some educators and professionals have openly celebrated Kirk’s assassination online. Last week also saw various investigations and acts of violence across the United States.

Ironically, such celebrations by a teacher underline the very challenges that Kirk and his organization aimed to address over the years.

Kirk was killed last week while attempting to engage respectfully with students at Utah Valley University.
