Robert De Niro’s Comments on Trump
In a recent interview, actor Robert De Niro expressed a strong opinion regarding President Donald Trump, suggesting he believes Trump “will never leave office” and emphasized, “it’s up to us to get rid of him.”
Speaking on a podcast hosted by Nicole Wallace, De Niro voiced his concerns about Trump’s intentions, saying, “He’s joking about nationalizing elections now, but he’s not kidding. We’ve seen enough of this.” He reiterated his belief that Trump will not step down voluntarily, adding, “There’s no way.” De Niro suggested that it’s critical for the public to unite and take action.
He highlighted his fear that Trump would not respect the outcomes of upcoming midterm elections and called for large-scale protests. “It has to be seven million, eight million, nine million. It has to be much more than that,” he stressed, referencing the collective strength of the people.
The White House has yet to respond to requests for comments on De Niro’s statements.
In October, during an earlier discussion on the podcast, De Niro showed support for various Democratic leaders, praising figures like New York Attorney General Letitia James for standing up against Trump. He remarked on her courage, saying, “I’m not afraid of him,” and encouraged others to adopt a similar stance.
