Actress Kimberly Hébert Gregory Has Passed Away at 52

Actress Kimberly Hebert Gregory is likely best known for her portrayal of Dr. Belinda Brown on HBO’s Vice Principals.

She passed away on Friday at the age of 52. Chester Gregory, her ex-husband, shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, expressing gratitude for the moments they shared.

“You brought sparkle into every room, a shining example of strength and grace. You taught me so much about courage and how to face challenges head-on,” he reflected.

He continued, saying that what endured through their toughest times was love and respect, a bond that remained unbroken.

Gregory also stated, “You were more than just my ex-wife; you were a true friend. Your spirit will carry on through our children.”

“Our son, the song we wrote together, is a testament to your brilliance. Through him, your light will shine on,” he added.

“Rest peacefully, knowing you are deeply loved. Kim, you truly made a difference,” he concluded his heartfelt message.

Many in Hollywood voiced their sadness over Gregory’s passing, including Yvette Nicole Brown, Leslie Jones, and Busy Phillips.

Walton Goggins, her co-star from Vice Principals, took to social media as well, noting, “I lost one of the greatest yesterday. She was truly a gifted performer.”

He mentioned the privilege of working alongside her, sharing laughs and admiring her talent. “She had an unmatched voice, hitting every note flawlessly. She will be missed dearly,” he said.

Gregory was also recognized for her performances in roles like Kai and in the film It’s 5 Feet Apart. Her resume included appearances in popular TV shows such as Gossip Girl, Shameless, Grey’s Anatomy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and The Big Bang Theory.

Her film credits included Red Hook Summer, It’s 5 Feet Apart, and Virginia.
