The six-figure ad campaign, which will air in several battleground states during Thursday’s first presidential debate, blames President Joe Biden’s border policies for the murder of Rachel Morin, allegedly at the hands of undocumented immigrant MS-13 gang members.
The ads, purchased by the nonprofit group Building America’s Future for $200,000, will run from June 26-28 in Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia.

In addition to the 60-second digital ads, the group will feature mobile billboards and projected ads on prominent buildings in Atlanta, Georgia; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
“It will continue to happen,” the ad begins. “Laken Riley is not the first, and in Joe Biden’s America, sadly, she will not be the last.”
The ad appears to pin the blame for the murder of Rachel Maureen on Biden. Maureen, a mother of five, was found bludgeoned to death on a boardwalk in Harford County, Maryland, in August 2023. On June 15, police announced that Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, 23, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with ties to the MS-13 gang, had been arrested on suspicion of her rape and murder.
“Undocumented immigrant Victor Hernandez was wanted on murder charges, yet Biden allowed him into the country,” the ad reads.
“Now he’s charged with raping and beating to death Rachel Morin, the mother of his five children,” the ad continues, “Laken Riley and countless others. Joe Biden’s open borders are a nightmare for American women.”

Martinez Hernandez is one of roughly 2 million illegal immigrant fugitives who have managed to cross the southern border without being detected by Border Patrol under President Joe Biden’s watch.
Border Patrol agents arrested Martinez-Hernandez three times in 2023 — twice in January in New Mexico and Texas, and once in February in New Mexico. Each time, he was deported back to Mexico.
Shortly after his last deportation to Mexico, Martinez-Hernandez crossed the border into California, where he allegedly assaulted a woman and her child, then traveled to Maryland, where he is accused of raping and murdering Morin.
Before crossing the border, Martinez Hernandez was accused of murdering a woman in his native El Salvador after leaving a bar with the victim, whose body was found days later.
Building America’s Future ran a similar ad during President Biden’s last State of the Union address, blaming the president for the murder of Laken Riley, allegedly at the hands of an illegal immigrant released into the United States.
“Laken Riley could have escaped in broad daylight from an illegal immigrant without being killed by him, yet Joe Biden has promised not to deport illegal immigrants,” the ad states.
