Adam Kinzinger Starts PAC to Support Democrats instead of Republicans Aligned with Trump

Former Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger has introduced a new political action committee designed to support Democrats challenging Republicans whom he claims prioritize loyalty to former President Donald Trump over their duty to the country.

Who exactly is Kinzinger? He was one of the two Republicans on the now-disbanded Jan. 6 Special Committee and endorsed both former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential race. In the launch announcement of the Back the Bold PAC, he commented, “Washington has no responsibility to the American people.”

“Trust me, I’ve lived it,” Kinzinger states in the advertisement. “Too many politicians become enablers, too scared to speak the truth, lacking the courage needed, and more concerned with self-preservation than upholding democracy.”

He goes on to express that the “rule of law” is being corrupted by “the will of one man,” pointing out that “too few leaders stand up and say ‘enough is enough.'”

“So what do we do? We support bold people,” he asserts. “Today, I’m launching Back the Bold PAC to restore accountability in Washington and to back leaders prepared to take that stand. Yes, that includes supporting Democrats willing to confront a Republican Party that places loyalty to Donald Trump above loyalty to America.”

Kinzinger mentions that the PAC’s goal will be to “ensure that President Trump and the politicians who enabled his chaos never hold office again.”

“If they don’t stand up for our democracy, we will find leaders who will,” he concludes. “It’s time to support the bold.”

The announcement follows his remark during an appearance on MSNOW’s “Deadline” in May, where he suggested that Trump supporters might eventually distance themselves from the former president.

“In five or ten years, there won’t be a single person left in this country who will admit to supporting Donald Trump, except for those active on Twitter,” Kinzinger claimed.

He also insisted that the “velocity” of Trump’s downfall would continue to grow, expressing sympathy for those he believes have been misunderstood.

“I think his spiral speed is increasing. I mean, we’ve had him for a year and a half. I think his spiral speed is going to increase even more,” Kinzinger reflected. “And eventually, people will say, ‘Oh, I’ve had enough.’
