Disgraced former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R) was photographed at a shooting range on Tuesday after a reporter was shot when Democratic candidate Lucas Kunce fired at a target that was clearly too close. Being ridiculed online.
Kunce was firing an AR-15 at the time of the incident. Breitbart News reported that reporter Ryan Gamboa of KSHB-TV stood there as Kunce had his wounds bandaged.
Federalist founder Sean Davis commented on the incident: I'm saying“Sorry, but this tweet is insane. There's a lot of stuff in it. The more you look at the picture, the worse it gets.”
Davis continued: “They were shooting steel at five to seven yards with a rifle, and they could have killed someone given the force with which the bullet bounced off the steel target.” . [sic] distance. If you did that, you would be instantly and permanently banned within my range. There were zero questions. ”
For the record, Breitbart News does not shoot AR platform firearms from less than 50 yards when testing/reviewing them with steel targets. (This is because bullet fragments and very rarely ricochet wounds can occur at close range.)
Davis also said:Kinzinger holds her rifle like a total nun, which is never funny to me. And pro tips for Kinzinger: Eye protection is most effective when worn on the eyes rather than on the head. You stupid idiot. Try using your head once. I'm lucky that it's still around after today. ”
Commenting on Davis' post, one Is it weird to actually shoot someone (splinters and ricochets still get shot) and then post like a brag about it? I swear, none of this can be real.”
Another X user commented: “Does anyone remember being hit by shrapnel at long range?” Anyone? Don't shoot guns at close range, idiot. Why would you do that??”
Sen. Josh Hawley (R) reacted to the incident, saying, “My grandmother is better than Lucas Kunce.”
