Rumor has it Adele is a big fan of the Summer Olympics.
The 16-time Grammy Award-winning singer performed in Munich, Germany, on Saturday, and in between performances, she showed footage of the women’s 100-meter final in Paris on a big screen.
The race featured American Sha’Cary Richardson, who was seeking Olympic revenge after being suspended for testing positive for THC, a substance banned under World Anti-Doping Agency rules.
Adele’s fans screamed and cheered, pulling out their cell phones to record the moment.
Despite Richardson winning the opening race on Friday in a commanding time of 10.94 seconds, Adele, her fans and the world watched as Richardson took silver in 10.87 seconds after St. Lucia’s Julian Alfred won gold, earning the island nation’s first Olympic medal.

Fellow American Melissa Jefferson won the bronze medal.
This wasn’t the only big viewing party held around the world, with a party also held in St. Lucia, a arguably more raucous gathering, to watch Alfred sprint for the gold medal.
Video from a viewing party showed dozens of St. Lucians dancing, waving flags, running around and shouting in celebration.
Winning the gold medal earned Alfred the title of the fastest woman in the world.
Adele’s new residency is scheduled to take place in Munich from August 2nd to August 31st, with the Olympics finishing on August 11th, which could mean a further hiatus from concerts in the future.
