NFL Star Adrian Peterson Arrested Again
Adrian Peterson, a former standout for the Minnesota Vikings, found himself in legal trouble once more. On Sunday morning, he was arrested in Texas, with charges including suspicion of driving under the influence, classified as a class B misdemeanor. Additionally, he faces a class A misdemeanor for possession of a weapon, as recorded by the Fort Bend County jail.
The 40-year-old was taken into custody around 10 a.m. and remained incarcerated through the afternoon. This isn’t Peterson’s first run-in with the law; he was previously arrested in April after the NFL Draft for a driving incident in Minnesota, where he had a blood alcohol content of 0.14 while reportedly speeding at 83 mph.
Peterson, a likely Hall of Fame running back, has had an impressive career, surpassing 2,000 rushing yards and earning the NFL MVP title in 2012. Over his 15 seasons, he was selected for the Pro Bowl seven times and ranks fifth on the all-time rushing yards list.
In addition to his recent DUI charge, Peterson has faced other legal issues, including past arrests related to altercations with his spouse and separate child support and assault cases. Earlier this year, he turned heads again after being involved in a brawl at a Houston social club, which went viral and reportedly led to plans for a celebrity boxing match.
These new legal troubles certainly add to the complicated legacy of one of football’s greatest running backs.
