Adrian Wojnarowski roasting Stephen A. Smith is the highlight of Day 2 of 2024 NBA Draft

For the first time in history, the NBA Draft will be held over two nights.

Ahead of the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, ESPN The team met to consider a few questions. At the top of the list: Where will Bronny James be selected? After falling in the first round as most expected, James is waiting to see where his NBA journey will begin.

So is his father, LeBron James.

Stephen A. Smith pondered a once-in-a-lifetime scenario: Bronny comes off the board in the second round. New York KnicksLeBron then joined the Knicks at league minimum salary to play with his son and the Knicks’ roster of players.

But Adrian Wojnarowski asked a counter question.

For whom would Stephen A. Smith accept such a significant pay cut?

That left Smith, who usually has an answer for everything, searching for responses.

You can watch the entire exchange in the clip below, with Wojnarowski’s question beginning at the 1:14 mark.

Of course, Smith is in the final year of his current contract, so some context is helpful here. ESPN. Smith reportedly accepted the offer. He’s expected to make around $18 million a year, but is reportedly seeking a deal in the region of $25 million, which makes this clip even more appealing.

There are 28 picks remaining, and while the first two picks in the second round have already been made, it may be hard to top this moment tonight.
