Advice for Trump: Focus on increasing deportations instead of negotiating

Challenges Facing the America First Movement

The America First movement, along with a shift in the Republican Party towards more practical governance, finds itself at a critical juncture. It seems the organized left—which includes politicians, media figures, and various activist groups—is now openly teaming up with more centrist Republicans, particularly in the Senate.

The objective of this alliance is quite clear: they aim to protect the advantages that come with the presence of a large number of both illegal and legal immigrants by effectively halting significant deportations.

This partnership has expanded into a political campaign that appears designed to humiliate Donald Trump and his administration publicly. Why? Because the left believes their political survival hinges on achieving this.

Establishment Republicans are motivated by a desire to ensure that corporate donors can maintain access to inexpensive labor, while also trying to keep their connections with elite circles like those at the New York Times cocktail parties.

Recent events were galvanized by the shooting of Alex Preti by a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Minneapolis. Reports indicate that Preti was involved with an online group linked to activities such as information gathering and obstruction of immigration enforcement. He was shot after allegedly obstructing ICE operations while armed.

Further reports mention that he had prior physical confrontations with federal authorities just a week before his death. If these allegations hold water, the ongoing FBI investigation may shed light on the threats posed by anti-ICE activists, who are reportedly moving from propaganda to actual violence.

The left’s narrative struggles to stand up to publicly accessible evidence. Our independent law enforcement monitoring group released findings that, according to our analysis, exonerate the border patrol in connection with Preti’s death. We’re expecting federal investigations to arrive at similar conclusions regarding the circumstances leading to this tragic event.

We also found Signal chat messages that provide context for the riots in Minneapolis, seemingly involving Preti. These chats may indicate that anti-immigration violence is beginning to resemble domestic terrorism. In one instance, a rioter encouraged participants to “put on your clothes” and referenced a “suicide vest,” which, I think, underscores their extremism.

One of the last messages attributed to Preti reveals his involvement with organized groups allegedly participating in illegal activities, contrary to portrayals of him as merely an innocent bystander. This documentation contradicts the narrative that casts him as a victim of excessive force.

This campaign has now become distinctly political, aimed at forcing Trump and his associates into a compromising situation. Initially, Trump seemed to distance himself from his officials’ actions, perhaps in a bid to emphasize the left’s radicalism. His administration pulled back some federal resources from Minneapolis, and there were indications that authorities were instructed to concentrate on a select few undocumented individuals with a history of violent offenses.

In parallel, establishment Republicans are also pushing for change. For example, Congressman Mike Lawler has launched a substantial push for amnesty. Meanwhile, Senate Democrats are demanding permanent policy changes regarding ICE funding, which could potentially trigger a government shutdown due to inaction.

It’s concerning that some Democrats seem to prioritize political narratives over hard facts, while corporate media amplifies these messages. The funding bill expected to pass soon will support various DHS operations, including disaster response efforts, yet this is at risk of being overshadowed by partisan conflict.

The pressure on Trump is mounting. With heavy scrutiny from the public, media, and Congress, he sent border czar Tom Homan to Minneapolis to seek some resolution. However, the response from local leaders has been swift and steadfast. Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz have made it clear that they won’t implement significant changes in treating undocumented immigrants, demonstrating the influence they believe they hold over this administration.

As a result, Trump may find that increasing deportations is now his best recourse. The law has already set forth clear guidelines against illegal entry, and voters echoed this sentiment during the 2024 election. Trump’s endeavor to carry out substantial deportation efforts is crucial, overshadowing any media distractions.

This struggle extends beyond Minneapolis, as it reflects a broader attempt by opponents of Trump to undermine his administration through intimidation and subversion. It’s essential for him to recognize that these individuals are not allies but adversaries. Completing his mission may prove to be the escape he needs from this predicament.
