Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler sexual assault lawsuit dismissed for good

A federal judge in Manhattan has permanently dismissed a sexual assault lawsuit filed against Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler. This means the plaintiff will not be allowed to amend or file similar lawsuits in the future.

Former teen model Jeanne Bellino, 66, filed a lawsuit last fall against a 76-year-old man, accusing him of forcibly molesting her inside a New York City phone booth in 1975.

“While I was holding her captive. The complaint further states, “Tyler’s penis was erect and as he rubbed his penis against Tyler, it was apparent that he was not wearing any underwear and was wearing thin pants.” added. [Bellino] She fought back and struggled to break free, but Tyler restrained her. ”

The musician denied the claims.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan dismissed Mr. Bellino’s lawsuit without prejudice, meaning he cannot file the lawsuit again.

This is the second time he has dismissed Bellino’s claims against Tyler.

In February, he said Tyler’s actions did not pose a “substantial risk of physical injury” and that Bellino could take advantage of the two-year grace period under the Gender-Motivated Violence Act to file a lawsuit. He said it was. Kaplan gave her until March 13 to amend her complaint.

“I agree with the judge’s reasoning and on behalf of my client, I am grateful for this outcome,” David Long-Daniels, Tyler’s lawyer, told Reuters in a statement at the time.

Tyler is also being sued in California state court by Julia Misley for sexual assault. The woman said she met Tyler when she was 16 years old and that Tyler “coerced and persuaded the plaintiff to believe this was a ‘romantic relationship’.”

In his response to Maisley’s lawsuit, Tyler said he had a consensual sexual relationship with Maisley, whose real name was Julia Holcomb, even though she was 16 at the time. The musician also said that she was entitled to immunity because she was Misry’s legal guardian at the time of their relationship.

Long-Daniels told Reuters this week that the judge “faithfully applied the facts to the law. That’s all we can ask of a judge. We’re especially happy for Stephen and his family.” Ta.
