Benjamin Satterley, known in the wrestling world as Pac, was found unresponsive in a vehicle parked outside a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois on Sunday. Reports indicate that medics responded to the scene around 4 p.m., after receiving a call about his condition.
Audio from the dispatch revealed concerns from authorities, with one saying, “This is going to be a slumper.” They noted that they couldn’t confirm if Satterley was breathing at the time.
A short while later, an official on the audio indicated that Satterley was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Witnesses stated that some patrons at the restaurant noticed Satterley slumped over in his car and called 911 for assistance. They even searched for medical equipment inside CAVA in an effort to help him before help arrived.
“There was an ambulance, police, and a fire truck all outside,” one witness recounted.
A representative from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that Satterley was declared dead at 4:08 p.m. The cause of death is currently pending an autopsy.
Satterley, aged 40, leaves behind a legacy in the wrestling community.
