The convicted child murderer, who was sentenced to death in 2014 but received a commute to spend his life in prison under former President Joe Biden, faces the possibility of death again in Louisiana.

The Louisiana federal ju judge convicted Thomas Sanders (now 67), who lured and killed 12-year-old Lexis Roberts of Las Vegas in 2010, and sentenced him to death.

Sanders was one of 37 death row inmates who received commutes from Biden just before President 46 left. On Monday, the Katahula Parish’s large ju court filed charges against Sanders in the state charges.

“I realized it’s outrageous that President Biden uses this generous power to commute to the child murder sentence,” Katahula Parish District Attorney Brad Burgett told Fox News Digital on Thursday. “Whatever your politics is, this doesn’t matter. This is 12 years old, who saw his mother brutally killed by Mr. Sanders. He then lured her in a journey towards the Parish of Catahula in rural Louisiana.

Sanders first met Lexis’ mother, Slen, in 2010, while working in a warehouse in Las Vegas where Lexis and his mother lived.

He and Slen began dating, and about two months after their relationship, they decided to go on a road trip to the Grand Canyon that year’s worker weekend, Department of Justice.

It was during their return that Sanders drove the I-40 into the Arizona Desert and fatally shot Suelen. He then thrusts Lexis into the car and travels around the country with a 12-year-old girl, capturing him for several days before arriving in Louisiana.

“This child suffered a horrific death,” Burgett said. “And I think Sanders’ only penalty is the death penalty. The federal prosecutor did a great job, presented the case to the ju court, sought justice from Alexis and her family, and got justice. And Joe Biden decided to turn it back with his signature.

“Joe Biden decided to sign his signature and put it back.”

The decision was that Biden would commute to Sanders’ sentence, and Burgett decided that the district attorney presented the case to the Katahula Parish’s grand ju court on Monday, and believed that the authority’s abuse of the authorities urged the lawsuit to see what Sanders’ fate was at the state level.

“I think we’ll succeed, but only time knows,” he said. “I will put it in the hands of the ju judges… When the ju judge makes a decision, you must respect it. I will respect the katafura parish judges.

In Louisiana, Bruget said district attorneys don’t have the ability to claim capital offences that pose a life sentence. Such cases will be presented to the large juju judge.

When Sanders was arrested in 2010, he was arrested on federal charges. There was a warrant for his arrest from the Catahula Parish, but it was not executed for federal prosecution, Burgett explained.

“Therefore, I presented it to the Great Ju Court last Monday,” the district attorney said. Burgett presented evidence to the Great Ju Court on Monday, at which point they decided to indict Sanders on the state charges.
