After Debate Performance ‘It’s Crazy’ Biden Has Not Seen a Doctor

Political commentator Bill Kristol said on CNN’s “News Central” on Wednesday that President Joe Biden should seek medical attention due to concerns about his performance in the debate.

“What do you think of the response from the White House and the campaign so far? The president has had multiple opportunities, going back to the day after the debate, to speak with congressional leaders and to stand at the White House podium himself to answer questions directly from reporters. That has not been the approach so far,” moderator Boris Sanchez said.

“No, but what really surprised me is that he hasn’t had a medical check-up since February, he hasn’t seen a doctor since then. It appears that he hasn’t seen a specialist since February, during the debate, or since the debate. I think that’s extraordinary and, frankly, egregious. If he was an 81-year-old person that I know and he was experiencing the symptoms he had on Thursday night, I would encourage him to go to the doctor. And if you’re the president of the United States, you have the great advantage of being able to see the best doctors at Johns Hopkins and you know the major American hospitals, who will come in and see you right away. This is irresponsible. I find it intolerable.”

He continued, “He needs to assure us he’s fine, but from what we’ve seen, he can’t assure people he’s fine unless a doctor says he’s fine, or that he has an illness but it’s manageable. Of course he may be, but refusing to see a doctor is something I don’t think you can do from a political point of view and, frankly, from a human point of view.”

Kristol added, “I mean, this is just crazy. I’m really upset about this. I’m upset about this as a human being. It’s crazy that he can’t see a doctor, he can’t see the relevant specialists.”
