Former President Donald Trump spoke about American energy production during an interview with X-Space’s Elon Musk on Monday, focusing on how the US can compete with China on artificial intelligence (AI).
In the interview, Trump said that a Kamala Harris administration would implement tough energy policies by promoting “green energy” through wind and solar panels and hurting oil and fracking production. The former president then spoke about Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence, saying that if America’s energy production declines, the U.S. will not be able to compete with China in AI technology.
“So I know you love this. artificial intelligence. good, artificial intelligence “It takes twice as much energy to extract oil as everything else, so we need to drill hard. We need to double our current production,” he said.
Trump just said that AI requires twice as much energy. Big tech companies know it, and environmentalists know it, but what do we say? We are the problem, the cows, the chickens, we are the problem.

Trump to Elon:
“So, I know you like this AI. It takes twice as much energy as everything else, so you’re going to have to dig hard. You’re going to need twice as much energy as you’re currently producing.”
Honestly, buying energy stocks seems like something everyone should be considering…

According to Goldman Sachs, the AI revolution will Drive Energy consumption increased by 160 percent.
“On average, processing a ChatGPT query requires roughly 10 times more power than a Google search. This difference will drive significant changes in how and at what cost electricity is consumed in the US, Europe, and globally,” the company noted.
“For many years, data centers have maintained a remarkably stable electricity consumption rate even as workloads increased,” he continued. “Now, the pace of efficiency gains in power usage is slowing. AI Revolution Demand for electricity is gaining momentum, with Goldman Sachs Research predicting that data center power demand will increase by 160% by 2030.”
