Detroit Lions’ Aidan Hutchinson Cleared to Return
Aidan Hutchinson is set to return to the field ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
During a press conference at the Detroit facility on Thursday, the pass rusher announced that he has been fully cleared to resume football activities.
Hutchinson shared his thoughts on what his return means for him and the team.
“It’s great. I was given the green light some time ago, and now I feel like I’m truly back to my old self again. I’m really excited about the upcoming season… I think OTA is what I’m looking forward to the most in my life right now,” he said.
Hutchinson had his season cut short after an injury during a game against the Dallas Cowboys on October 13, where he initially recorded 16 tackles and 6.5 sacks in just over five games.
After his injury, he had to watch as the Lions continued their campaign, finishing as the No. 1 seed in the NFC. However, their aspirations for a Super Bowl were dashed when they lost in the divisional round against the Washington Commanders.
With Hutchinson back in action, optimism has returned to Detroit.
