Aidan Hutchinson's mother reacts to false post about the Lions' $180M player

Aidan Hutchinson’s mother, Melissa, has addressed the buzz online suggesting that her son, the Lions’ defensive end, is engaged.

This came alongside a fake report that the $180 million pass rusher was responding to criticism about his alleged engagement.

On her Instagram Stories, Melissa humorously remarked, “Can’t wait to see who Aidan marries this week…” and added a few laughing emojis, perhaps hinting at how ridiculous the rumors are.

The family, including Melissa’s husband Chris—who played college football at the University of Michigan—and their daughters, Aria and Mia, are quite the presence at Lions games. Mia notably performed the national anthem during the 2023 season.

An Instagram photo showed them celebrating Mia’s 29th birthday at a Lions game last Sunday. They enjoyed the festivities from a suite at Ford Field while the Lions edged out the Giants 34-27 in overtime.

In an exciting play during that game, Hutchinson managed to sack Giants quarterback Jameis Winston on a crucial fourth down, sealing the win for his team.

This season has been significant for Hutchinson, as he signed a jaw-dropping four-year, $180 million contract extension in October. The Lions are currently holding a 7-4 record and are set to clash with NFC North rival Green Bay, which has a 7-3 record, on Thanksgiving Day.
