Aisha Husney Promoted to Anchor and White House Correspondent
FOX News Media has announced the promotion of Aisha Husney to the roles of anchor and White House correspondent. This was revealed by President and Editor-in-Chief Jay Wallace on Tuesday.
Husney is set to host her own show every Saturday from 12 PM to 2 PM ET starting January 10. She will also step into the White House correspondent position this week. Having joined FOX News in 2019, she has previously served as a senior national correspondent and Congressional correspondent from Washington, D.C., in addition to working in New York.
Wallace stated, “We believe Aisha’s knowledge of Washington makes her a perfect addition to our distinguished White House correspondent team and an excellent anchor chair.”
Promotion of Bill Melgin to Congressional Correspondent
Throughout her career, Husney has conducted notable interviews with significant political figures, including German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Taiwanese Ambassador Alexander Uy, and former presidential candidate Donald Trump. She has also reported on pivotal events like the 2025 government shutdown and the protracted voting process that led to the election of House Speaker Mike Johnson in 2023.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Husney said, “I’m excited about the opportunity to serve as the anchor chair and bring important information to a national audience, and I’m honored to join the prestigious White House correspondent team.”
In 2020, her reporting on the pandemic and its impact on Muslim Americans during Ramadan earned her a spot among Variety’s “New York Women of Impact.”
FOX News Channel Dominates During Election Week
Before her tenure at FOX News Media, Husney worked as an anchor and investigative reporter at WXIN-TV, the FOX affiliate in Indianapolis. She has also garnered an Emmy nomination as an investigative reporter and fill-in anchor at CBS affiliate WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where her work on voyeurism incidents influenced local laws.
Her journalism has been locally recognized by the Indiana Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. Husney began her career at GEO-TV, an international network in her home country of Pakistan, and holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Indiana University.
Additionally, last month, FOX News Media promoted Bill Melzin to become a parliamentary correspondent.
