AJ Brown expresses his frustration with the Eagles: 'It's a mess'

AJ Brown Opens Up During Madden Livestream

AJ Brown has shared his thoughts on feeling left out and the Eagles’ inconsistent offensive plays while participating in a “Madden” livestream with YouTube personality Junkie Rondo recently.

When asked about his well-being, Brown candidly replied, “no,” with a chuckle and remarked, “Where were you? Well, the family is doing well, you know. Everything else? No. …Like the show. …You’re having a hard time, bro.”

This season has been notably quiet for the 28-year-old receiver, bringing up concerns about his relationship with the team and quarterback Jalen Hurts, plus his future in Philadelphia. Having played eight games so far, he has only amassed 408 yards and three touchdowns—setting him up for the lowest single-season yardage of his career.

Previously, Brown enjoyed three continuous seasons with more than 1,000 yards and a minimum of seven touchdowns in each of his first three years with the Eagles.

In the most recent match, the Eagles narrowly defeated the Packers 10-7. Brown recorded just two catches for 13 yards from three targets. However, during the game-ending sequence, he and Hurts reportedly had a heated discussion over a contentious fourth-down pass attempt designed for him that was deflected.

Reflecting on the Madden session, which followed the Eagles’ victory bringing them to a 7-2 record, Brown said, “Let’s show him some love,” while emphasizing that “Good things happen when you get touched.”

During the stream, he humorously threw a touchdown pass to a digital version of himself, saying, “That’s the only positive thing, dude.”

He even demonstrated to his son his in-game achievement from an earlier match—nine catches, 168 yards, and two touchdowns—exceeding his prior single-game record.

Commenting on his situation, Brown said, “I’ll tell you, brother, that’s the only highlight of football I’m living right now.”

As the Eagles gear up for an upcoming match against the Lions, head coach Nick Sirianni reassured fans, stating that Brown will remain “a big part of the game plan,” encouraging optimism about his contribution moving forward.

Brown also cautioned fantasy football managers by advising, “If you’ve got me in a fantasy, get rid of me.”
