AJ Brown Urges Eagles’ Offense to Step Up

AJ Brown is sending a clear message regarding the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive performance. The outspoken wide receiver addressed the media on Wednesday, shortly after causing a stir during a “Madden” livestream by comparing the current team dynamics to a “show.”

“It’s not just about my situation,” Brown stated. “Of course, I want to win as well. But if we’re serious about winning, we can’t just keep putting Band-Aids on a defense that’s actually doing its job. At some point, we have to pull our weight as an offense, especially since we’ve got the talent. That’s my focus right now.”

Brown, who is currently frustrated with the team’s offensive output, explained why he’s vocal about it. He stated, “I won’t apologize for expressing my concerns. If you really pay attention, you can see my frustration. I want us to improve as an offense because winning is the goal for all of us.”

The Eagles recently secured a narrow 10-7 victory against the Packers, bringing their record to 7-2. However, Brown feels they need to do more as they aim to defend their Super Bowl title. The All-Pro receiver has posted just 408 yards and three touchdowns in the season so far, expressing his dissatisfaction with the current offensive contributions.

“It’s not that I don’t care about winning; I’m just saying, the stats matter too,” Brown remarked. “Sometimes it feels like we’re not doing our part week in and week out. We can’t keep patching things up. We thought we could win based on last year’s performance, but it doesn’t work that way. It’s a new season and we need to adapt and improve.” He continued, “I want to contribute more, and I think that’s reasonable.”

The team’s offense, under first-year coordinator Kevin Patullo, currently ranks poorly, sitting at 25th in passing yards per game and 23rd in total yards. Meanwhile, the run game, led by Saquon Barkley, isn’t faring much better either.

Brown emphasized his commitment to communicating his thoughts, stating, “I’m willing to face criticism for expressing myself. It’s crucial for us to improve offensively—not only to support the defense but to genuinely compete in this league. It’s not just about winning; we need to push ourselves.”

In a recent livestream incident, Brown reflected on his struggles, sharing a candid moment with followers about how everything feels overwhelming at times. “I’m just trying to have some fun with my friends. I’m not throwing anyone under the bus; I’m just handling a tough situation the best I can,” he explained.

As for Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, he addressed the growing concerns surrounding Brown. “He’s doing his best and is a vital part of our game plan. We’re looking forward to moving ahead,” said Sirianni, as the team prepares to face the Lions on “Sunday Night Football.”
