On Wednesday, the Miami Heat's star center forward received the keys to Miami-Dade County after winning a gold medal with the U.S. men's basketball team at last month's Olympics.
Wilson, who has recently been linked to Adebayo, attended a gala honoring Olympians in South Florida, but that didn't go unnoticed by Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levin Cava, who praised the two-time WNBA champion.
“She won a gold medal in women's basketball,” Levine-Cava said of Wilson, who also won the top prize at the Paris Games, “and I think that has something to do with Bam and the Heat being here today.”
