Al Sharpton and Donny Deutsch worry they’ll be imprisoned if Trump us re-elected

MSNBC host Al Sharpton and frequent guest Donnie Deutsch said Friday that they fear Donald Trump will put them on the “list” of enemies if he is elected president again. and suggested that he was facing imprisonment or worse.

Deutsch, known for his inflammatory anti-Trump rants on “Morning Joe,” suddenly turned to Sharpton and said President Trump would jail his opponents and there would be no free media in the next Trump administration. I asked. Will you be on the list if Donald Trump wins? yes or no? “

“I'm sure I'll be on the list,” Sharpton said, to which Deutsch exclaimed, “Me too!”

“And think about it!” Deutsch said. “This is the United States of America, and people in the media, like pastors, have to worry that they're on the list. Some people say, 'Donnie, are you worried?' This is America! Yet people will still give Donald Trump permission to vote. what happened to us? ! ”

MSNBC's John Heilemann seemed amused by Deutsch's slur, laughing: “Now that we know you're on the list, obviously we have to take you off the list.”

Trump served in the White House from 2017 to 2021, often hitting back at his critics on social media and elsewhere, but never jailing the media or his political opponents.

Earlier in the segment, Deutsch expressed shock that Trump had supporters and wondered if they simply didn't care that their freedoms would be lost if Trump became president again. I wondered.

“You know, we're talking to a lot of people who vote for Trump, and I say to them, I still don't understand, do they not believe it or don't care? ?” he asked. “Don't they understand that our freedom is at stake? Don't they understand it? Or do they just not care? At this point they are free Do we take it for granted?”

“I think so, yeah,” said “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski.

Deutsch quoted former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, who said President Trump is “a fascist through and through,” according to a new book.

“Do they think he's making it up? Do they care that much about the 3% tax cut?” Deutsch asked. “What is it? Do you understand that I challenge the people and that he will turn this country against us and turn us into Hungary?”

Deutsch and Sharpton both have long histories with Trump. All three have deep ties to New York, dating back decades. Mr. Deutsch appeared on “The Apprentice,” and Mr. Sharpton and Mr. Trump were at times friendly as their public service and political careers intersected.

In 2017, Deutsch suggested he would punch Trump in the “schoolyard” after the president mocked “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
