Alabama fisherman finds human remains in submerged truck

An Alabama man’s fishing trip to a popular lake was cut short after human remains were found inside the car of a person who went missing more than a decade ago.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said: press release An unidentified fisherman reported the incident to police on Friday.

The fisherman said he spotted what looked like a truck in the murky waters of Wythe Lake in Cherokee County, Alabama.

When local police arrived, they stopped the truck and were surprised to find human remains inside.

Police said the vehicle matched the name of Oscar Lewis King, a missing man from northern Alabama who was first reported missing more than a decade ago.

King, who mysteriously disappeared in 2013, was 74 years old at the time of his disappearance.

At the time of King’s disappearance, local broadcasters reported that King’s truck was a blue 2001 Dodge Dakota truck.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said the body was being sent to a forensic lab for identification.
