Four people are dead after a shooting in a nightlife area of Birmingham, Alabama, police and reports said.
Birmingham Police said in a social media post that multiple people were shot on 20th Street near Magnolia Avenue in the Five Points South neighborhood.
Police investigators said officers arrived on scene and found two men and a woman deceased at the scene.
The fourth victim died in hospital. WBMA-TV reported.
The other victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, police told WBMA.
The Birmingham Police Department did not immediately respond to an email from The Associated Press requesting additional information.

WBMA reports that Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood is home to numerous entertainment venues, restaurants and bars and is often packed on Saturday nights.
Police said no arrests were immediately made, WBMA reported.
“We're going to do everything we can to locate, identify and pursue the individual who attacked our people this morning,” Birmingham Police Officer Truman Fitzgerald told WBMA.
